Bathing areas

Kaunisto bathing area, Urjalankylä, Urjalankylän kyläyhdistys heats the Kaunisto sauna next to the bathing place every week in summer. In winter, the sauna is warm every week for ice swimmers. Central sports field
In the central sports field you can do track and field, play football, tennis and basketball. Nearby there is also a trail and a playground built in 2017. You can ask the field manager to lend you sports and exercise equipment .

Nature observation towers
Kortejärvi nature observation tower Kortejärvi lakefront is the perfect spot for observing the nature. You can climb up the nature observation tower and take a break at the resting place. There is also a publication about the Kortejärvi nature.
Nuutajärvi nature observation tower was built in 2019, and it is situated in the west end of the Nuutajärvi lake. You can walk to the tower from the glass village along the road which crosses the manor estate.

A few things to note: if you arrive by car, you can park in the spot marked in the map. From the road by the lakefront you can walk by the side of the field. Please do not cross the field. You should approach the tower quietly and without rush because there may be birds just next to the tower. The builders of the tower for example spotted a common moorhen which is also called a waterhen. It had not been spotted in Urjala before - that we know of. Welcome and enjoy the nature!
Hiking routes and ski trails

Station, a lit trail 3 km, plus 2 km, 3 km, 5 km and 10 km. When there is not a lot of snow, a snow cannon is used.

Guided walking tours Between Lammiharju and Pölkinvuori 4.3 km, 7.5 km ja 10 km.

Along the trail there is Sutostenmäki lean-to. You can enter the track from the Lammiharju outdoor recreational area, (Huhmarinmäentie 45) and Asema school (Ahventie 6). There are signs pointing to the trail from Lammiharju, Mikkolankankaantie and Pölkinvuori.

Kirkonkylä, start from the sports field, lit trail 2.5 km, if there is a lot of show also 5 km and 10 km trails.

Nuutajärvi, lit trail 1 km and 6 km ski trail Urjalankylä, nature ski trail 6 km between Yntäläntie and Kiimankulmantie.
Pölkinvuori barbecue hut
The basic fee for the hut is €10 per hour. The Pölkinvuori hut can accommodate a maximum of 15 people, and it is open every day from 10 am to 6 pm during the summer season. Booking is also possible in winter when Pölkinvuori is otherwise closed. It is also possible to have food served in the hut, which can accommodate a maximum of 12 people. In catering and winter reservations, the initial and final cleaning is our responsibility, we also prepare the fire at the agreed time
