Nuutajärvi Glass Village

NUUTAJÄRVI GLASS VILLAGE

The oldest glass village in Finland is simultaneously peaceful and bustling. Upon arrival you will experience a unique environment with its picturesque wood architecture from 1850s, and inside the wooden buildings you will meet the glassblowers working in front of fiery furnaces and designers creating new and original items. There are also several other artisans and artists working in the village.

"You are welcome

to watch us work."

You are welcome to watch us work in several workshops, and most likely you will also get to see when glassblowers work in the hot shop. It is always very intriguing to watch how blazing hot, molten glass is shaped into an object.
